Mounting Guide

For Motorcycles with 1/2" GPS Cross Bar (12mm):

• Use the DMD AMPS Base (with included spacers). This keeps the device mounted as close to the bar as possible for a low-profile look. Make sure there is enough clearance between the device and your windshield.
• If windshield clearance is tight (as with models like the BMW GS and Yamaha Ténéré 700), we recommend using a 12mm extension bracket, such as: short 12mm bracket with AMPS base or long 12mm bracket with AMPS base.

The motorcycles listed below are confirmed to have a 12mm GPS crossbar from the factory. The Yamaha Ténéré 700 is also recommended to use the DMD Dash Stabilizer for YAMAHA T7 (MY19-22) or DMD Dash Stabilizer for YAMAHA T7 (all versions from MY23 on).

For Motorcycles with 1 1/8" Handlebars (28mm):

• Use our shortest 28mm handlebar AMPS bracket (for 28mm handlebar only).
• For a closer viewing position, use our 22-28mm handlebar long bracket (for 22 and 28mm handlebars) with the short 12mm bracket with AMPS base.
• For flexible positioning and a secure hold, use our Adjustable Handlebar Clamp Mount.
• For more weather protection and adjustability, use our DMD Handlebar Mount Tower.

The motorcycles listed below are confirmed to have a 1 1/8" handlebar (28mm) from the factory.

For the KTM 790/890 ADV (2019-2022) / KTM 390 ADV (2020-2023) / Husqvarna Norden 901 (2022-2023):

Use our specific mount and AMPS converter.

For the KTM 790/890 (2023-):

Use our specific mount + if you need to push the device forward, we also recommend adding a spacer or the Super AMPS Converter.

For the Ducati DesertX:

Use our DMD Tower for Ducati DesertX.

For the BMW R1200GS (2008-2013):

Use our GPS mount for 17 mm tube.

For the Honda Africa Twin (2020-):

Use our GPS Mounting Bracket and short 12mm bracket with AMPS base.

For Universal Application:

Use our Adjustable Handlebar Clamp Mount.

For Motorcycles with 7/8" Handlebars (22mm):
