Yoyodyne T19211 Radical Slipper Clutch for Suzuki Hayabusa (1999-)

Yoyodyne's T19211 Radical Slipper Clutch is made specifically for Suzuki Hayabusa (1999-current).

The slipper clutch prevents and/or reduces rear wheel hop when entering a turn. Our slipper clutch features a Ceramic coated pressuer plate for longer wear, the clutch spring pockets are elongated for better feel, and the pressure plate is vented and ducted to help the clutch run cooler.

The function of the slipper clutch is to reduce the pressure on the clutch pack when the engine is in the process of turning the engine. In the case of road racing type slipper clutches, there is no effect on clutch engagement when the engine is in the process of driving the real wheel. During the process of slowing for a turn (Engine Braking) the action of the torque forces the ramps together; the ramps then proceed to ride up on each other, an action which lifts the splined part of the hub off the base.

Special clutch for Hayabusa based Radical track day cars. Clutch is designed to use an extra clutch friction and steel plate. The hub is also designed to use an extra pressure plate spring. The combination of more clutch pressure and more plates allows more HP to be transmitted with out clutch slippage. The clutch incorporates a mild slipping action to prevent over revving in the case of grabbing one too many gears while downshifting. Not for use on bikes, as it is tuned for the grip level that cars produce.
