Yoyodyne's T16413 Slipper Clutch Racing is made specifically for Kawasaki Ninja 650 / ER-6.
The slipper clutch prevents and/or reduces rear wheel hop when entering a turn. Our slipper clutch features a Ceramic coated pressuer plate for longer wear, the clutch spring pockets are elongated for better feel, and the pressure plate is vented and ducted to help the clutch run cooler.
The function of the slipper clutch is to reduce the pressure on the clutch pack when the engine is in the process of turning the engine. In the case of road racing type slipper clutches, there is no effect on clutch engagement when the engine is in the process of driving the real wheel. During the process of slowing for a turn (Engine Braking) the action of the torque forces the ramps together; the ramps then proceed to ride up on each other, an action which lifts the splined part of the hub off the base
High performance clutch for the 650 Ninja. This clutch uses an additional stock spring for greater clamping force on the clutch pack. This allows the clutch to handle more torque. In order to provide the correct amount of slip, this clutch is machined with shallow ramp angles. For even more torque capacity, use our extra plate steel plate kit.
