- Installation: Corbin's Classic Solo uses an all new key-lock system for simple on & off installation. Hardware comes preinstalled on the saddle for ease of use and comes with two keys.
- To enable the key lock system, install the included bracket onto your chassis. This will provide a latch pin on the bike for saddle to mount to. Slide the nose of the Solo into place with the tongue into the chassis and lower the solo onto the latching pin installed previously. The saddle will latch easily to the pin and secure it in place. To remove, simple turn the key and lift off the saddle.

Provides for our removable backrest for over 13 inches of vertical back support. Our sculpted seating position gives maximized body contact and provides touring comfort. Neutralized seat platform offers an easier reach to the ground and a more ergonomic position on the bike.
Corbin's removable rider backrest is simple to install and adjusts easily to your posture. Just slide the backrest shaft into the internal hardware of the Close Solo and lock it in place with a single bolt. You can then set the backrest where you want it and lock it in place with the easily accessible adjustment screw... no need to remove the saddle. Choose from a variety of backrest styles to suit your taste. Shown on this page with Ovalbac model #02-G.
Solo saddle and backrest provide excellent support for riding while the shaping in the nose allows you to slide forward for ground reach at stop signs. Looks excellent with the bare fender providing a slick solo look. A chromed button head screw in the old mounting location cleans this up nicely.
We offer two models of the Classic Solo design: Standard Classic Solo provides for average and taller riders, while CLOSE Solo gives improved reach for riders of smaller stature. Close solo has a narrower nose for better reach to the pavement and a seating position closer to the bars. To choose the appropriate model, measure from the tank to where your posterior sits on the bike. Compare this to the seating measurement here:

We've incorporated a new saddle mounting system that uses a key lock. This makes it extremely simple to install and remove the seat as desired. We build this model to look sly, but use our high density Comfort Cell foam for a firm supportive ride. Dished shaping provides good contoured support and minimizes the tendency to slide in the saddle.
Choose from a range of leather styles and colors for a custom touch. Leather will provide a perch that breathes with your body and will break in along with the foam shape for a personalized fit. Be sure to care for your leather saddle with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream. With proper care, your seat will age gracefully developing a unique character and will be your riding buddy for years. Optional chrome studs provide an added nostalgic touch (included at no charge, just specify).
To further customize the look of your bike, we can provide a variety of back plate options on our Ovalbac series backrest. Our standard back plate has a leather look or you choose from any of the styles listed below. We can even provide a backing plate that is prepainted gloss black for just a little extra. Ovalbac finishing plates change out easily with two screws and a little Locktite (or other thread lock compound).
New Backrest Hardware CoverThis saddle cover has been updated to use our new backrest hardware cover with the sliding door as shown here. To install the backrest, just slide the cover over to the side. When the backrest is not needed, just slide it closed. It doesn't get easier than that!
