- Saddle mounts like stock with a tongue in the front and latch pin in the rear. Corbin latch integrates with your stock Ducati key lock.
- Saddle includes two chrome button head screws to use in the side of the saddle when the seat cowling is not used.
- Due to the tight tolerances with the seat cowling, a "welt" is not recommended in this cover design.
- Corbin seats (with very few exceptions) include Genuine Leather Seating to provide a luxurious look and feel.
Naturally, we set out to design a seat to fit the bike visually as well as improving the quality of your ride... Corbin's saddle does just that! Our high density Comfort Cell foam allows a sleek, low profile while providing a firm supportive ride that lasts. Rider seating is ergonomically shaped to fit the curve of your body and provide better weight distribution. This also helps to eliminate the centralized pressure felt from the stock seat. In the nose area, we sculpt the saddle narrow to allow for good ground reach.
Passenger seating area is designed with a neutralized platform to curb sliding forward in the saddle. Dished shaping provides an excellent contact patch while maintaining a clean look. This gives your passenger good mid-range comfort. Sorry folks, but the removable passenger backrest isn't available in this seat model... there's just nowhere to put the hardware for it safely. (Have you looked under that seat?) On the other hand, we did integrate hardware to use your Ducati seat cowling. Just bolt it onto the Corbin seat as you would with the stock seat for a fast, solo look. We provide two chrome button head screws with the saddle to use in the seat sides when the cowling is not installed. This keeps things nice and clean!
Notice how close the Corbin saddle fits to the tank, tail section and sides... this kind of fit comes only from a Corbin saddle and our unique Fibertech basepan. Our rigid base material not only fits perfect to the bike, but provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed foam shape. Corbin's ergonomic shaping creates a visually pleasing look on the motorcycle and adds to the custom appeal.
On top, we include genuine leather seating panels for a luxurious ride. Our standard design includes Black Carbon-Fiber leather rider seating with Asphalt vinyl contrasting sides, center stripe (Trim) and passenger area. Corbin's asphalt material gives a nice texture that mimics that of the black frame components and ties in the tank stripe too. Because the seat is designed to mate up nicely with the Ducati seat cowling, we do NOT recommend using a "welt" on this saddle model.
We use genuine leather seating in all of our saddle models because it breathes with your body and will conform along with the foam shape during break in. This provides an added bit of luxury on those long rides. In the side panels, we use a coordinating vinyl material that will support the foam shape and keep the saddle looking sharp longer. Be sure to care for you leather saddle properly with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream. This will help the leather to remain supple and weather resistant while it matures gracefully.
